Two weeks ago we celebrated our 2nd anniversary! Pumpkin Patch Daycare is 2 years old! And let me tell you how amazing it is to have the wonderful parents I do! We celebrated with a pizza party for the kiddos and a small token of appreciation for the parents in the form of a fall gift bag! I am blessed to have been in the Patch business for two years and thank my clients for all the wonderful understanding they have! It is you that are a huge success!

Patch Product Monday
Patch Product Monday is here again! Today's Patch Product is the Bumbo Seat and Tray! It is a wonderfu ltool for little ones to help provide tummy strength, get them off their backs and allows them to join the world. The tray is also a nice option for the little older ones you can use as a portable highchair for snack time!

I buy mine at Tar.get usually and the Bumbo plus tray run around $50! A great product...we have two!

Patch Product Monday!
Pumpkin Patch Daycare is on Facebook now! Check us out! Last week I started a weekly posting that will be done on Monday called "Patch Products" just a little ditty about products I have found through being a Mama to two children the same age (but not twins) and or products I have found since opening Pumpkin Patch Daycare almost two years ago! Also with fostering many children in between! We tend to have many children around ages birth to 3 and needs things that can keep children busy for 15ish minutes at a time and up. Last weeks Patch Product was the Baby Bjorn Bib! A love I have had for over three years now! Check them out here....
This weeks Patch Product is the Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo! I bought this when my kids were 6 & 9 months old (almost 4 years ago!) and have not had a child since that hasn't loved it for a portion of time between 6 and 18 months old! There are lights and sounds that go off when they bounce to encourage activity and many colorful things to keep them looking and happy all the way around! The Patch wouldn't be the same without it! A must have in my book! Check it out here...

Easy Stain Solutions...
Occationally at the Patch we have spills or something else and here are a few ideas I have found that help keep those cute little clothes looking new!
For Protein (baby food, formula, etc.) ~ Soak fresh stain in cold water and fub fabric to dislodge stain. Wash in warm water with detergent and I like to use Tide.Stain.Release.in-wash.booster!
Oil-based (pepperoni, butter, etc.) ~ Wash in the hottest water safe for fabric with detergent and again, I like to add the Tide.Stain.Release.in-wash.booster!
Tannin (coffee, strawberries, etc.) ~ Rinse stain in cool water. Then wash fresh stain in the hottest water safe for fabric with detergent and the in-wash.booster!
Dye (grass, blueberries, etc.) ~ Pretreat with a liquid stain release and rinse thoroughly. Wash in the hottest water safe for fabric with detergent and the in-wash.booster!
Combination (crayons, chocolate, etc.) ~ Scrape stain and scrub under hot water. Then wash in the hottest water safe for fabric with detergent and the in-wash.booster!
If you cannot get to the washer and dryer and need a quick fix, know the home remedy rules to stain-removal ~ but always test the fabric first:
For most cotton garments, brush the excess stain off the surface of the fabric by using a soft bristle brush or cloth and rinse it in cold water to dilute the stain. Wash in warm water when you get home.
Hydrogen peroxide can get rid of fresh blood stains. Again, toss this in the washer as soon as you get home.
I always like to keep the Tide.To.Go pen on hand for emergencies!

What have we been up to?
Pumpkin Patch Daycare has been enjoying our time outside this week with the beautiful temps! We still have half the backyard full of snow, but it makes for fun snowball fights! It has been enjoyable to get outside and run off some energy these last few days! Hopefully this is only the start of what is soon to come...Spring! Each and every one of the pumpkins loves being out doors and we are very excited about some of the new things that will be popping up through the summer!

Snow Day
Pumpkin Patch Daycare is closed today, January 5th 2010, due to the weather. At six o'clock this morning keloland.com reported the Spearfish School to be closed and when the school is closed so is that Patch. Please stay tuned to the weather for tomorrow!

Weather
With the snow on the side of the road around 3 foot deep in & around Spearfish my guess is that it will not take much snow to close the town down...with that I wanted to send out a reminder that if the school is closed Pumpkin Patch Daycare is also closed. If it is two hours late we will operate business as usual, but if it closes early Pumpkins need to be picked up no later than an hour after the schools early release time. I do not claim to know what tomorrow holds, but with conflicting reports on the news channels it doesn't hurt to have a reminder!
